Our Heveya® bamboo flat sheets are made only with 100% bamboo lyocell, an excellent eco-friendly choice. Bamboo trees are a sustainable resource, requiring little water to thrive. Bamboo fibre is biodegradable and returns to nature without harming the environment. We use a closed-loop manufacturing process which means that the solution used to make bamboo fibres out of the bamboo pulp is 99% recaptured and reused.

What is the difference between a flat sheet and a fitted sheet?
Flat sheets are a rectangular piece of cloth and as the name suggests, they lie flat on your mattress. Some place a flat sheet in between the duvet and fitted sheet. For some, a flat sheet is used to cover the mattress like a fitted sheet.
Fitted sheets on the other hand, are only used to cover the mattress. They are conveniently fitted with elasticated sides that can be pulled over a mattress for a tight and snug fit.

Can I use a flat sheet over a bed instead of a fitted sheet?
Yes, that is absolutely possible! Your bed, your rules. Using flat sheet as a fitted sheet is especially beneficial if you have a non-standard mattress size.
If you would like to use a flat sheet over your mattress - simply, lay the flat sheet over and tuck the corners under your mattress to make sure they stay in place through the night.

What is a flat sheet used for?
A flat sheet is traditionally designed to be placed between you and your duvet cover, acting as a protective layer so you wouldn't have to wash your duvet cover as often. It is also known to be a great decorative piece to make your bed look more welcoming!

What goes first? A flat sheet or a fitted sheet?
Traditionally, to make your bed - you place your fitted sheet over the mattress first, then you lay the flat sheet on top of the fitted sheet and then finish it up by placing your duvet on top of the flat sheet!
Again, your bed, your rules. If you prefer to use flat sheets as regular sheets over the mattress or as a simple decorative piece, our bamboo sheets will look just as luxe.
